Five leading European institutions, led by the UPCT, have launched a project to encourage entrepreneurship and the creation of companies among researchers in the ICT sector throughout Europe
MERLIN, an ICT entrepreneurship project funded by Horizon 2020, was recently launched in Madrid, Spain. The objective of MERLIN is to reach a large number of researchers and ICT SMEs/startups, which have received funding from the EU, through thematic workshops, online materials and international conferences, providing them with the knowledge, skills and network to innovate and generate market-driven business models to exploit or support ongoing marketing efforts of their products. Participants will receive assistance from MERLIN and will integrate with existing support and funding programmes available to grow their innovations and bring them to market.
The most outstanding and promising entities will receive more support regarding the development of their business plan, and will also be invited to the special meeting activities organised by Startup Europe. These activities will help you to meet other people with similar interests and put them in contact with potential business partners, business angels and customers.
MERLIN has a duration of two years, until December 2019. Led by the UPCT, its partners include BluSpecs Innovation, Poznan Science and Technology Park, Civitta and St John’s Innovation Centre.
