IoTphile. Precision Agriculture, a new way of looking at the countryside

Every day all of us consume agricultural produce, but we never stop to think where it is grown, how much water has been used to grow it, and the number and type of nutrients it needs to grow. The world of The Internet of Things is already present in agriculture and can give the answers to these questions. Sensors connected to the Internet can now be installed in the ground and on the plants themselves. What features should these devices (nodes) have to be used in precision agriculture?
